How the Universe Got Its Spots: Diary of a Finite Time in a Finite Space by Janna Levin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Good meditation on topology, cosmology, infinty, and a life in science. I liked the strange loop. I don’t know if there were answers in here. There were a few fantastic quotes/lines, and it was a worthwhile read.
Sounds interesting! Is it ok for us layfolk and wannabe scientific thinkers a la A Brief History of Time? š
Anita: This was originally written as a diary/”collection of letters” over ~2 years from the author to her mom. It is very readable/accessible.
I might have to check this one out! My ol’ brain could use some exercise.
I just picked this up from Powell’s. Possibly the last copy. I can’t wait to get started! š
